Challenge

How does a community gathering place and studio continue to inspire the making of art and offer lessons when forced to close during the Covid-19 shutdown?

Insight

Even though the community wasn’t able to visit the studio. There was still an opportunity to provide people the inspiration and tools for them to create art when stuck at home. And maybe even a bigger need for it.

Solution

We created the ‘Artist In Residence’ series, offering ‘paint-at-home’ kits with everything one needed to express themselves and create art at home.

As Covid-19 was limiting opportunities for the community to gather, The Art Of Good worked with Ellen, Tom and their two daughters to conceptualize how we could take the art to the people. We created the Artist In Residence series. A chance for the community to find their inner artist at home. As the studio started putting together custom-made, paint-at-home kits based on famous floral paintings. (It was Spring after all.) We got to work on getting the word out. We created a visual style for the kits, produced photo and video assets, planned and wrote social posts, added an e-commerce element, and even created a new logo for the studio.
